About Us
Headquartered in the western suburbs of Minneapolis, Pixel Loon is here to give your ideas wings! Using a collaborative creative process we help businesses develop their brand personality and let it shine via their logo and brand collateral. Not sure about what brand collateral means? Think business cards, stationary/letterhead, investor decks, annual reports, website and social media graphics, and mobile apps. Pretty much anything you want to have a look and tone consistent with your brand.
Every project is as unique as your business is, so we're happy to develop a custom package based on your specific needs and budget. We're also open to long-term contract positions or working on retainer. Contact us today with more specifics about your project for a free estimate.
With a wide variety of clients and projects, we enjoy continually growing in our practice and learning about those that we serve. We are dedicated to getting to know our clients, researching their industries and target markets, and providing design solutions to help meet their business goals.
We believe in supporting all of the great people doing good in our communities, so be sure to ask about discounted rates for non-profits, charitable organizations, schools and churches.

Owner | Lead designer
Melanie Winters
With design roots in Architecture, former teacher, Melanie Winters, is back at the drawing board bringing you Pixel Loon. Through a variety of projects, she has experience with logo & brand development, social media images and strategy, event advertisement, company documents and other brand collateral. She blends the "form follows function" principle of modernist architecture and industrial design with Steve Job's reminder that "design is not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works". Merging these philosophies helps her create innovative designs that meet specific goals.
Understanding that a logo is more than just a sexy icon, Melanie aims to consider it's larger use and the goals it's intended to help meet. She is dedicated to developing rich brands that convey a business's unique personality and values. Her creativity and broad set of experiences allow her to find fresh solutions to your business needs.
OWNER | Lead mobile engineer
Brian Winters
An expert in mobile technologies, Brian Winters has developed apps such as Fly Delta and Target's Cartwheel, each with well over 5 million downloads.
Brian doesn't shy away from a challenge. In fact, his career in mobile development began back at Northwest Airlines where he was working in web development. As Northwest Airlines became Delta and the industry demanded mobile, Brian raised his hand to tackle something he had never done before but that the company would find invaluable - a mobile app. Learning as he went, the FlyDelta app became a reality and he's been a mobile dev guru ever since.
